These terms explain how you can use Merin, how plans and credits work, and the responsibilities that come with generating and publishing AI-assisted creative assets.
Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Merin, including the website, app, and related services for generating thumbnails, product photos, prompts, and other creative assets.
By creating an account, accessing the service, or using any part of Merin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility and accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that happens under it. Please provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the service.
- You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a company, brand, or client.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, you should stop using the service and secure your sign-in method as soon as possible.
Subscriptions, billing, and credits
Some parts of Merin require a paid plan or usage credits. Pricing, plan limits, and included credits may change over time, and any updated pricing will apply on a forward-looking basis.
- Paid subscriptions renew according to the billing cadence shown at checkout unless canceled.
- Credits are provided for use inside the product and may be consumed when you generate or edit assets.
- Unused credits, promotional offers, and plan benefits may be subject to separate limits or expiration windows when disclosed at purchase or redemption.
- You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or payment processing charges that apply to your purchase where required by law.
Your content and generated output
You retain rights you already have in the prompts, uploads, reference materials, and other content you submit to Merin. You grant Merin the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and transform that content in order to operate the service.
As between you and Merin, and subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use output generated for your lawful business or personal purposes. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publishing, distributing, or relying on them.
- Do not upload content that you do not have permission to use.
- Generated output may not be unique and similar outputs may be created for other users.
- You are responsible for checking factual accuracy, brand compliance, and legal clearance before commercial use.
Acceptable use
You may not use Merin in ways that are unlawful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, or harmful to others or to the platform itself.
- Do not use the service to create unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative material.
- Do not upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, reverse engineer restricted systems, or interfere with platform integrity.
- Do not use the service to violate privacy, intellectual property, publicity, or other proprietary rights.
- Do not use automated means to scrape, resell, or overload the service unless explicitly permitted by Merin.
Availability and changes
Merin is an evolving product. We may add, remove, suspend, or modify features, limits, pricing, and integrations at any time in order to improve the service, comply with legal requirements, or protect the platform.
We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times.
Termination
You may stop using Merin at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, created risk for other users, failed to pay fees when due, or used the service in a way that could expose Merin to legal or security harm.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
Merin is provided on an as available and as is basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or suitable for every intended use case.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Merin and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, business opportunities, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of the service.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the last-updated date on this page. Your continued use of Merin after revised terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
